It all started with travel.
Did you ever return from travelling feeling more stressed - like you never fully relaxed?
What about connection? Did you long for a deeper feeling of connection?
We did. So, we re-imagined how we travel.
We wanted all the convenience of the services we love in the city, but with much more authenticity, freedom to move about, and the ability to cook in our own kitchen. We also wanted to end our travel time RESTED.
From these desires, we designed our ideal lifestyle full of play, inspired work time, travel, health, connection, and joy!
But we didn’t stop there. We invite YOU to enjoy the RALIA lifestyle.
As we build each opportunity, you are invited in to experience it too!

Our Story
Ralia Retreats started as a desire to experience life more fully through travel. My husband, Mark, and I discovered who we were through our travels together. However, as we were moving through our 20s and getting busier and busier, we increasingly desired a way to get more out of our travel time.
We desired more rest, more connection, more good food and wine, and more joyful memories!
In 2013, our first child, Rachel was born, changing everything and adding more demands to our full schedules. Becoming parents to a bright new star focussed our decisions, especially around travel. More than ever we desired a way to travel that met our modern, juggle-it-all lifestyle.
In 2016 the Chalet Renne was purchased on a sudden idea - this rustic-chic 4 bedroom dream by a tranquil lake called to us; it was on a level we could not explain, as it wasn’t ideal timing-wise. A month later, Liam was born. Our two children became our inspiration for what would come next.

Together ra and lia symbolize radiant energy from Ra, the Egyptian sun god, and joy from Lia, the bearer of good news. Ralia brings the gifts of renewed energy and life through all the senses, and it was our children who truly helped us to realize how to experience more of this in life.
The more we travelled back to the same places, the more we connected with the local people at a deeper level - we fell in love with the feeling of being connected to the local community throughout our stays.
We first visited Costa Rica in 2019, and, that same year, the Palms Villa 21 was purchased- a luxurious 2-bedroom Villa a stone's throw from the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
Ralia Inc. is evolving as you read this. We are working on city spaces in Montreal, Canada. The dream is big and the possibilities endless. We invite you to take part in the creation process!
People are at the core of who we are and who we care about.
As our world becomes more global, we are aware that our impact ripples have become more powerful. During the 2020 lock downs we saw how caring for properties can positively support local communities in distress. We will continue to put our people first as we develop and grow as a real estate and lifestyle brand.
What fun the adventure has been. Setting up our Ralia has been such a joyous experience… I cannot wait to host you!
