A GENERAL GRANOLA BAR REVIEW
Some (not all) granola bars can be excellent sources of extra carbohydrates—good for filling your energy stores. Choose your granola bar carefully as many brands are high in added sugar sources—both natural sugars such as honey or fruit concentrated and refined sugars such as glucose-fructose. And, many brands have unacceptably high saturated fat content from refined oils.
If you are looking at the nutrition facts of an oat-based granola bar have 2 criteria in mind:
1. There is less than 8 grams of sugar per bar.
2. There is less than 1.5 grams of saturated fat per bar.
