Energy bowl with beets, oat groats, and cinnamon


Tips

Cook this meal ahead of time. It stores well for 4 to 5 days in the fridge and for 6 months in the freezer.


Ingredients

1 cup of oat groats
1 cup of raisins
3 cups of soy milk
1 medium beet
1 medium carrot
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 medium mango
4 tablespoons flaxseed
3 tablespoons hemp hearts

Method

COOK THE OATS

Rinse the oat groats in cold water. Dry thoroughly, then place them in a medium pot with the soy milk beverage. Add all spices. Add beets and carrots.

Bring mixture to a boil and let simmer for 35 minutes. At this time, there will still be a lot of liquid. Turn off the mixture and let it stand for 10 minutes.

BLEND THE ADDITIONS

While you are waiting for the oats to cook, prepare the mango into little cubes.

Mix the cooked mixture and the mango chunks together, and then add flaxseed and hemp hearts.
